ASSYLUM - '00 VLX

Owner - Eric Mitchell

Builder - Bryon O'Brien/Bald Eagle Customs

Model - Molly Pink

Photographer - Jeremy Lehmann/A1:eight

This '00 Honda Shadow VT600C VLX got a full makeover complete with blacked out wheels, forks, trees, speedo, headlight and engine.  She is lowered and hardtailed with clip-on bars, it turned out to be a great combination of a V-Twin Cafe' Racer/bobber.  The paint is a complete matte distressed finish sure to catch the eye.  And so you know, that is Hebrew for "ASSYLUM" :
A place, such as a church, formerly constituting an inviolable refuge for criminals or debtors.

RUMBLE - '00 VLX

Owner - John Botteicher

Builder - Bryon O'Brien/Bald Eagle Customs

Model - Sylvia Henry

This '00 Honda Shadow VT600C VLX is full of value because it was my personal bike that I reluctanly gave up for a donor...it's the bike that got me in to the mess!  John gave an idea of what he wanted me to build and then gave me free reign from there.  It has a custom finish that pictures do not do justice to.  Custom finish, custom exhaust, lowered and of course all the internals and fuel modifications.  I'm going to miss this bike...take good care of her John!

BEC PONY GT - '02 VLX

Owner - Richard Corkan

Builder - Bryon O'Brien/Bald Eagle Customs

Model - Sylvia Henry

Photographer - Jeremy Leehman/A1:eight

Richard bought this bike for his son Michael and it is a beauty!  The original intent was a white bike with black accents, the very next day after discussing the build and thinking through the design I saw a whte Mustang GT with black stripes and that was it!

Chopped & dropped of course, custom exhaust with help from Garth at Unchained Customs, Powder Coating by Rick's, Paint by my friend Paul Swanson who wants to retire from painting but I just won't have it when I need something like this...you hit it out of the park Paul!  Seat courtosy of Casa Customs.

I always say this, but this is one of my favorites!

BANZAI - '03 750 SPIRIT

Owner - Todd Hahn

Builder - Bryon O'Brien/Bald Eagle Customs

Model - Renee Deyoe

Photographer - Jeremy Leehman/A1:eight

This bike was built in stages and took me over 6 months before getting a photo shoot done.  Todd now has me building a VTX bagger for him and I told him I would not start on it until we got the photo shoot for Banzai done.

To say that Todd is an eccentric individual would be an understatement...but everything about this bike is a great statement of his personallity.  A lot of minor details all over the bike...you can figure it out.

Blue Lightning  - '02 VLX

Owner - John Royals

Builder - Bryon O'Brien/Bald Eagle Customs

Model - De'Ja Freeman

Photographer - Jeremy Leehman/A1:eight

This bike has had many of changes in design to get where it is today.  The original colors were to be black and blue but once the wheels came back from Rick's Powder Coating and I saw how brilliant the Candy Blue was, well it all drifted to as much of that as possible.

The tank, side covers and fenders all have the same metal working that the Rumble bike, but this time I wanted to see just how well it would come out under a coat of candy blue...let's just say it is better than the pictures can even give justice!

Crazy Eye - '03 VLX

Owner - Bald Eagle Customs

Builder - Bryon O'Brien/Bald Eagle Customs

Model - Sylvia Henry & Whitney Wozniczka

Photographer - Jeremy Leehman/A1:eight

This was a donor I picked up and decided to do a rat bike with for myself until I needed it for a build.  For whatever reason this style of bike is not very popular in my area...yet!  It turned a lot of heads and if was fun to do and take to local events and shows.  It's really commical that so many people love it but when it comes time to do a build everyone wants something nice and shiney...come on people, just do it!

There is a very specail part of this bike that I love, the flying eyeball was painted by my 16 year old daughter.  I really wish I could convince her to use her talent to start pinstriping.

Da Assassin - '99 VLX

Owner - Mario Victor

Builder - Bryon O'Brien/Bald Eagle Customs

Model - Sylvia Henry

Photographer - Rhonda LaGrone Photograhy

Marrio contacted me and wanted a VLX version of my Banzai Build.  Having just finished the Royal Blue bike for John Royal I knew that instead of a standard Hot Rod red we needed to do the red in Candy Transparent Red by Rick's Powder Coating.  As I got to thinking about it I wanted more red so we decided with the them being a old hot rod that doing the tank and adding scallops was a natural fit.  Here is the finished project.  This bike is HOT!!!

Debil - '05 VTX1300

Owner - Todd Hahn

Builder - Bryon O'Brien/Bald Eagle Customs

The best customers are the ones that come back for another build.  Todd is the owner of the Banzai Bobber and he decided that he wanted a 2 up bike so we went on the look for a VTX and built this outstanding Bagger.

Hopefully a photo shoot will come soon, I can't get Todd nailed down long enough to get it done.  These pics are from the build and the trip that Todd and I made to Nashville on the Natchez Trace Parkway.

Blue Angel -07 Spirit 750DC

Builder - Bryon O'Brien/Bald Eagle Customs

Owner - Bryan Griffith

Helping a veteran out is always a plus.  Bryan is a good friend and brother and he needed some help getting his ride in a condition that he could be proud of it.  This was a pretty massive transformation and a lot more work than one could imagine.  This is probably one of the rougher bikes I've ever worked on and the finished product turned out GREAT!
